Over 1,000 people laced up their sneakers for the 26th Run for the Seals at The Marine Mammal Center on Saturday, March 13th, 2010.

From newborns in strollers and speedy seniors to legendary local runners and dogs in costumes, folks from all over the bay area and from all walks of life came to participate in this locally loved fundraising event.

KFOG's Peter Finch kept the crowd energized as they made their way to the finish line and the Center hosted its first Fun Day after the race inviting all participants and supporters the chance to complimentary food, drink, tours and kids activities.

Medals were awarded to the top three male, female and child runners from the four mile run. There was also a two mile course for those looking for a still challenging but less lengthy and more educational route! All in all, it was a great day and we thank everyone for taking part and for visiting the Center.
